Darroze 1976 La Poste Armagnac 45.8% 700mlNice brown color with gold and orange tints. Brilliant. Aromas coming from a controlled aging give to the first nose an incredible character: coffee, toast, undergrowth, flint. Then, some crystalized and dry fruits appear and bring complexity and length to the Armagnac (figs, apricot, dates).

A long gourmet finale

with flavors like ripe quince

such as star anise and cinnamon

then you might have an idea of the exactitude of this liqueur taste

aromatic palate

This lot aged in a small clay cellar

Slightly spicy with hints of liquorice

Distilled in 1972 and barrel-aged until its recent bottling

of pure fruity cane

Early varnish gives way to beautifully defined aromas of stewed apple / apple tart becoming more keenly cider-like after aeration

woody and exotic fruits
