Louis Kalff, "Pancake" bakelite speaker for Philips, 1920sBakelite speaker designed by Louis Kalff for famous Dutch electronics manufacturer Philips in the late 1920s. The model are often referred to as "The Pancake" by collectors because of its round from. The bakelite speaker case in itself is in a good vintage condition with minor ware consistent with age and use but the metal base is rusty but functional. The plug is missing and the cable is in poor condition so this example is sold as a decorative item

This model was for a very long time attributed to Kai Kristiansen for Feldballes Møbelfabrik but recent discoveries made it clear that Kristiansen is not the designer
