There were no shorts or gas. It measured 40 where minimum (65%) is 31. I have played it in my Musical Paradise 301 MK 3 with an adapter (not included) as a 6SJ7 substitute and it sounds excellent airy with excellent dynamics and signal bandwidth. This new old stock-testing matched pair of Ken-Rad 6V6GT output tubes was tested on our Maxi-Matcher 2 with 400 volts on the plates and a bias of -36 volts for shorts
