Jean-Louis Chave St. Joseph 2005 BH-NOVinious First sample, from Bachasson: Peppery raspberry, cherry and cassis scents, with strong spice and mineral notes ("from the granite soil"). Quite sweet. Dardouille (older vines planted on granite and clay): Rounder than the Bachasson, with sweet cassis and blackberry qualities and excellent density. The finished blend should be outstanding.
