2023 Chablis, Les Bougros, Grand Cru, Samuel Billaud, BurgundyThis is made in barrel for the first year, before spending the second winter in tank. The plot here is on the start of the plateau just above the Cte Bougerots. It is a generous and powerful wine with an open feel even in relative youth. The 2021 Balocchi di Cabernet Franc is arrestingly beautiful

It delivers plenty of raspberry

but the long élevage practised in this cellar has refined the wine

A blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay

velvety tannins supporting the generous black fruit preserves layers

Dense colour with mid-purple centre
