Caol Ila 12 Year Old Connoisseurs Dram 1st Fill Oloroso 56.2% 50cl Bimber alongside a surprising tea noteThe wine merchant turned whisky bottler, DH Global Spirits have selected an amazing line of single cask bottlings as part of their Connoisseurs Dram series. This 12 year old Caol Ila was matured in a first fill oloroso sherry cask and bottled at 56. 2% ABV. Nose: Rich, earthy peat smoke balanced by sticky dates and honey. Palate: More dried fruit in the form of raisins, dates and dried cherries. Peat smoke carried through with a slight liquorice note.
