Eiffel Tower Bottom washingtonThis was taken around midnight in Paris, where this area is almost totally deserted. Such a beautiful time to be in Paris. It's quiet, soft and magical. I love this spot, just under the Eiffel Tower, but it's normally so manic and packed with tourists at all times, it's sometimes hard to just enjoy the space. It was a personal highlight of the trip Paris to just stand there with it being almost deserted and just take in the marvelous space. Lights on

the American flag that stood proudly atop the arch had to be blowing in the wind during this whole time (not just limply hanging there) and I was determined to sit there until I got what I wanted

I used a cool blue to emphasize the cold majesty of the steel and glass skyline of New York

It was a cold October night and a friend of mine and I drove down to the City after finishing work
