From top of the fuchi to center of mekugi ana: 30 mm

This scene depicts Minamoto No Yoshitsune with a small number of his most trusted man riding down almost vertical cliff to land a surprise attack on Taira forces

First leaf from the left is made of shakudo with a bit of copper

They are paired: green-yellow

This tsuba has been made from iron that has been folded many times

Yoshitsune was placed under care of the monks of Kurama temple

This tsuka has a good quality jabara ito maki

He was an adopted son of Hayashi Masamitsu however later moved to Edo and became a student of Funada Ikkin
