Heart of the Negev Pendant on Beaded Strand tablewareMy love of Israel, and the stark beauty of the desert inspired the design for this unique statement piece. To create this pendant, I blended cream color and pink clays from the Negev Desert to create a random patten, and used it to form an organically shaped, contoured heart. After bisque and glaze firings, I added 22 karat gold accents, and fired it a third and final time. It is strung on an opera length (88 cm) strand of hand beaded gold, pearl and

crystal and turquoise beads and a star of David charm to give it a dash of the bold spirit of Israel
