2010 Château du Tertre, Margaux, Bordeaux70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot. Best ever! A bold statement? Perhaps, but we have been going here to taste for many years, and it just gets better every year. Always soft, round and ripe, the team has brought it to another level. Lovely crushed raspberry and cream on the nose and a deliciously velvety mouthful, like cold raspberry ripple ice cream on warm summer pudding. It's a consistent quality that you can always rely on.

Kudos to Richard Geoffroy and his team for creating a beauty in this warm and quite difficult vintage

Beautifully crafted

with ultra-fine tannins and a delicious

but is scheduled to be bottled in November of this year (instead of January 2017) in order to allow it more time to flesh out and integrate in glass

I think Fred Savart could do more to elevate this wine to a level where it is closer to his other Champagnes
