named after a long lost distillery in Campbeltown that once tutored a famous Japanese distiller in the art of whisky making

it quickly became apparent that the liquid was too good to not sell as Single Malt

in 1905 the distillery changed its name to Glengoyne

It’s a quirky Speyside distillery because it’s wash stills are larger than its spirit stills
