Description
Handmade Elk Rattle with Leather, Feathers and Oregon Driftwood Handle - Painted with a Cross Emblem wood printThe rawhide head is made of elk. The handle is driftwood from the Oregon coast. Wrapped with leather and adorned with feathers. This is a nice bright, loud sounding rattle. Filled with corn. Made from raw materials and painted by Moksha in February 2026.
but a frame is recommended
There is also some CANVAS GICLEE REPRODUCTIONS available here
but I think it’s more fun to let you decide what it means to you
and like a show-off I set out to make something cool in only one short night
it wasn’t yet a good painting in my opinion
this gives the rattle a softer and quieter sound compared to rattles filled with corn only
The handle is driftwood from the Oregon coast
I made a couple other paintings before this one which had no face
The word “marijuana” is a name that conveys the complexity of this plant
From the dappled light and shifting shadows a figure emerges and for a moment your heart comes to a dead stop
It was completely improvised with no pre-existing vision in mind
