(see photo from the SBD Flight Manual showing the location of the indicator at position #7) The indicator presented one of two checklists to the pilot depending upon the procedure to be performed. The procedure is changed from Take
indicating the manufacturing year 1941
So our assumption is that this item was offered prior to 1929

It is a wonderful reference document from that era
It was also used for navigation and bombing in conjunction with the AN/APQ-5 low level radar bombsight
but you'll look long and hard for one with the projector intact and ALL of the star charts
