Great Britain 1840 1d black Plate 4, SG2Great Britain 1840 1d Black Plate 4, SG2 A very fine unused, with original gum, example of the worlds first postage stamp, the Penny Black, from plate 4, lettered 'LA'. Features close to large four margins, with crisp impression and deep black shade. Mint penny blacks with four clear margins are very scarce in such fine mint condition. A lovely example of the worlds first postage stamp and the most important stamp in the world you could possibly own.
