The base shows some

The ever so slightly eccentric ebony inlaid arrow motifs present in the frieze signal a Regency influence

in fact we’d be horrified if any was carried out

There are also the remains of a museum paper label to the reverse

she is perhaps most similar to the figure named ‘"Naiade"

We have tightened the movements and joints and the birdcage movement is operational and the mahogany has a good colour
